Our Story
Anima&Corpo is an Italian ensemble founded by Gabriele Pro with the aim of rediscovering and promoting the instrumental and vocal heritage of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, with a particular focus on lesser-known repertoire and the historical and aesthetic context in which it was conceived.The ensemble has taken part in numerous festivals and concert seasons, including: SocietaÌ€ dei Concerti “B. Barattelli” (L’Aquila), Festival Barocco “A. Stradella” (Viterbo and Nepi), Urbino Musica Antica, Roma Festival Barocco, Segni Barocchi (Foligno), Barco Teatro (Padua), Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti (Rome), Accademia degli Sfaccendati and SocietaÌ€ della Musica e del Teatro “P. Riccitelli” (Teramo). For the label Arcana – Outhere Music, Anima&Corpo has released two albums:
Golden Strings, dedicated to violin sonatas by Giovanni Mossi e Antonio Montanari; Arianna in Rome, with soprano Carlotta Colombo.
